After three nights of hardcore camping, it was
great indeed to arrive to Panorama Campsite and find a bed in a nice and protected
shelter. In fact, I’d totally recommend this place if you ever go to Arusha and
are looking for an affordable and nice place to stay near the parks. A night in a bungalow
is $USD22 (you can also camp there), and the campsite offers good food,
free WIFI and a "panoramic" beautiful view of Lake Manyara:
GAME RIDE: Some pictures of a Sunday morning at Lake Manyara…
The company
couldn’t be better. John, my private safari guide had high knowledge about
wildlife, but the thing I liked the most about him was his outstanding language
skills, which included Spanish! We did not talk that much though; instead we sang!!
… "dejare mi tierra por ti, dejare mis
campos y me ire, lejos de aqui, cruzare llorando el jardin y con tus recuerdos
partire, lejos de aqui, de dia
vivire pensando en tu" ...
Later that night, I met Ro, a retired German teacher of Math and Physics who has spent a big part of his life working in and exploring the African continent. Currently, he basically drives his Land Rover all around Africa so you can imagine the great adventures and stories I heard that night. Lovely way to finish my day!
Panorama Campsite also offers night shows during the weekends. Here the singers of the popular song:
..."Jambo! Jambo Bwana! Habari gani? Mzuri Sana! Wageni! Mwakaribishwa, Tanzania Hakuna Matata! ... Tembea pole pole.
Hakuna matata. Utafika salama"...
